Meet the Founder

Susan J. Wright, President / Experienced Recruiter

I am a master recruiter with over two decades of ownership and placement experience. I started my working life in San Francisco as a legal and human resources assistant at a law firm. From there, I became intrigued with becoming a recruiter and convinced an agency owner to take a chance on me. I have never looked back!

After five years of honing my craft, I co-founded The Right People which grew to 12 recruiters and hundreds of temporary employees with hours hovering at 7,000 per week. This was back in the day when boutique agencies reigned and the financial firms boomed. I both managed the temporary department and ran a highly successful mixed industry desk with an emphasis in financial services, finance and accounting.

In 1996, I founded SearchWright. During the following decade, I built and collaborated with a dynamic team of 15 direct-hire and interim search recruiters serving startups and industry leaders alike, both in California and nationally. In 2010, I reassessed the business model, joined a worldwide network of recruiting partners and outsourced our back office for temporary employees to a third party vendor providing value-added services. I closely follow internet sourcing techniques permitting rapid identification of high quality candidates. Our cloud system enables our recruiters to work from home or anywhere in the world.

We conduct searches for middle to senior level management, early to mid-career professionals and their dedicated support personnel in many industries, in numerous roles and job functions and for various departments within client companies. Our focus is in financial services, finance and accounting and we do specialized searches upon request.

Born in Canada, raised in Pennsylvania, lived in Marin County with my family for many years and enjoy spending time in France. I relax by sculpting in clay and bronze, gardening, interior design, and watching my husband cook.
